Tuesday night, March 9, in the Watertown High School gym will be “The biggest concert of the year,” said Dr. Fred Schuetze.

There have been a lot of good reasons for holding the concert for about the last 20 years!

“Bandarama is our biggest concert and best way for our community to see all the bands from grades 4-12 in one place,” said Dr. Schuetze, coordinator of Fine, Applied and Performing Arts for Watertown’s schools. “It shows the future for the kids and parents, how their kids will play and act in high school, but also reminds the memories of high schoolers when they were younger.”

He also pointed out that, “Music is communication. Not everybody is a verbal person and a lot of them like to communicate through music.”

The performance begins at 7 p.m. and features musicians from all five schools.

“If everybody is going to be there,” Dr. Schuetze said, “there will be about 323 players.”
