Have you ever wanted to watch a hilarious movie when you’re sad? Well, “Daddy’s Home” is the movie for you.

At the preview screening, movie critics were calling the movie “funny” and “the best winter break movie this year.”

“Daddy’s Home” is about a stepdad who’s kids hate him from the beginning, but they are starting to turn a new leaf … but then the impossible happens: Their biological dad shows up out of nowhere.

He isn’t just any average guy though. He is the kind of dad that is able to charm anyone, shrugs off a 20-mile run like it’s an average workout, and is beloved by all kids.

The two dads fight each other to become the best dad in the eyes of the kids, Megan and Dylan. The dads suffer through pain, fights, and love drama just to get to become the kids’ favorite.

Will Ferrell plays the stepdad, an emotional and responsible dad who is the polar opposite of the biological dad. Mark Wahlberg is the jacked dad, and he is definitely known as the cool dad, but he as far from responsible as it gets.

The two dads fight over who gets Sara, the mother of the two children. The two dads argue until they realize what they have done. In the midst of all their arguing, they forgot to be responsible and consider how other people feel.

The movie is truly hilarious. However, at the end, the film skips almost a whole year in only about a minute, so it wraps up a little too fast.

The age of the audience should be at a minimum of seventh grade because the movie contains some mature scenes and some harsh language. This is not the ideal family movie.  However, it is great to go to if you’re hanging out with some friends.

This movie is unique and it is unlike any other movie I have watched. I give it five stars out of five.
