Experimenting with science

Visitor from MWRA helps students with their tests

During fifth period on B days at Watertown Middle School, the students in Room B101 do a lot of experiments. That is because they’re in the Science Lab!

In this class, which is taught by Ms. MacAulay, they have fun while learning and practicing science. (Unfortunately, this class is only for WMS seventh- and eighth-graders.)

On Wednesday, Oct. 9, the class had a visitor. Meg Tabacsko from the Massachusetts Water Resources Authority (MWRA) came to WMS and helped the students test and compare the pH (acidity) of soda, tap water, and bottled water.

This was only one of the many experiments that students did in this class in the first term. They had a lot of fun!
