Thanksgiving menu offers something for everyone

Thanksgiving is a time when family and friends come together and have a delicious meal. Although some people might think that Thanksgiving is a holiday where people only eat turkey and have pumpkin pie, it really isn’t. Some people have pasta and soup because they are vegetarians. Either way, people’s Thanksgiving menus are different in their own special way.

Bandna K., a seventh-grader at Watertown Middle School, had turkey as her main meal, with mashed potatoes, cranberry sauce, stuffing, and vegetables for the side dishes, with apple cider to drink. For dessert, she has a scrumptious ice cream cake and a wonderful apple pie. All of this food was made by Bandna’s aunt.

Fellow student Catherine H. had turkey for the main dish and traditional stuffing, clam stuffing, cranberry sauce, and gravy for the side dishes. Then for dessert she had cherry pie and pumpkin pie.

Seventh-grader Neila M. is a vegetarian so she had pasta, soup, rice, bread, cranberry sauce, peas, salad, and pineapple upside down cake. Turkey was served, but Neila didn’t eat it.
