Splash of Flavor 2014: Peanut Butter Fudge Cupcake at ShotCakes

A shot of ice cream inside a cupcake? That sounds crazy, but no, it’s actually really good. In fact many people find it to be good, too.
ShotCakes has many different locations. One of them is in the Burlington Mall food court. There are many flavors available, from Cotton Candy to Birthday Cake. You have the option of getting ice cream in the cupcake or just eating it without any.

I ordered the Peanut Butter Fudge cupcake, with a shot of vanilla ice cream. It is a chocolate cupcake with a layer of crushed Oreo’s around the outside. The frosting is flavored peanut butter and is drizzled with chocolate and caramel sauce.
The sweet vanilla ice cream was balanced out with the rich peanut butter frosting. Overall, I really enjoyed the cupcake and recommend it to anyone looking for a sweet treat.
