Splash of Flavor 2014: Carrot Cake at Lilly’s Bakery

Walnuts cover the outside layer and a carrot frosted in orange on top of the piece of cake, along with white cream cheese frosting. The first bite filled with all different tastes: carrots, walnuts, cake, frosting.

What could this food be?

Carrot cake of course! This isn’t just any carrot cake, it’s the carrot cake from Lilly’s Bakery!

(Hey, you can place your vote here!)

Lilly’s Bakery is located in Watertown near the Arsenal and Watertown malls at 71 Arlington St.

It isn’t very expensive for how magnificent it tastes, either. The first time ever getting this, I knew that I had chosen the right bakery item. It tastes just as good as it looks. With each bite leading you to a next until there’s no cake left.

This cake is different from all the rest because it’s not too sweet and it doesn’t have too much carrot flavor. It’s the perfect mixture of something a little sweet, but still rich and creamy.

Also, with the name “Carrot cake” you can think you’re eating healthier than having chocolate or vanilla cake! At least there’s a better taste than those boring flavors!
