Bring a lot of Kleenex to “The Fault In Our Stars”

“The Fault In Our Stars” is by far the best movie I have ever seen in my life.

I know what you’re thinking — “This is just what I expected to hear from a teenage girl” — but it really is a great movie. It is funny, heartbreaking, and exciting all at the same time.

I have not read the book, and you certainly don’t have to have read it to love the movie version.

It was set in a small town in Indianapolis.  A 17-year-old girl (Hazel) and an 18-year-old boy (Augustus) meet at a cancer support group that is a very awkward and funny setting. Augustus and Hazel fall in love and have a very unexpected and sad adventure. Everyone in the theater was crying.

This movie is full of unexpected turns. One scene that is particularly uncomfortable to watch is when Hazel and Augustus meet their favorite author.

Everything about this movie is perfect: the plot, the dialogue, the acting, even the setting is perfect. I would recommend this movie mostly to teenagers, and women, but not young kids.

Don’t forget your Kleenex though, because you will be crying your eyes out through the whole movie.
