Many people ask, “What’s ‘The Fosters’ ”? Some say, “Oh I love that show! Remember when…”

Well, don’t feel left out, read on to know more about ABC Family’s show, The Fosters!

ABC Family is known for great TV shows which fill viewers with many laughs and cries, worry and anger. “The Fosters” is one of those shows.

The show stars Jake T. Austin playing the role of Jesus Foster, and Cierra Ramirez playing Marianna Foster, who are adopted twins. David Lambert plays Brandon Foster, son of Stef Foster (played by Teri Polo) and partner Lena Adams (played by Sherri Saum). Lastly, there is Callie (played by Maia Mitchell), and Jude, Callie’s brother (played by Hayden Byerly), who are soon to be adopted by Stef and Lena.

As you might have noticed, Stef and Lena are a gay couple, which is very rare on TV shows. Lena Adams Foster and Stef Adams Foster are a couple living inSan Diego. Lena, a school administrator, and Stef, a police officer, are raising three children: Stef’s biological son from a previous marriage (Brandon), and a pair of adopted twins, Jesus and Mariana.

In the pilot episode, Lena and Stef also agree to take in a troubledfoster child, Callie, and her younger brother, Jude. Their lives become more complicated as the family members deal with Stef being partnered at work with her ex-husband, Mike, while Mariana is secretly reaching out to her drug-addicted birth mother. A  growing romantic attraction between Callie and Brandon starts and that’s when the drama begins.
