Splash of Flavor 2014: Cheesecake Crepe at Freshens

Crepes are a French traditional pancake-like dessert. But the best crepes are found in Freshens at the Cambridgeside Galleria Mall. They have many amazing different kinds of delicious crepes. And if you ask me, the best one of all is the cheesecake crepe with melted Nutella and whipped cream.

It was a Friday night and I was forced to go out with old people, how horrible is that? But the only reason I didn’t run away was because my parents told me we were going to Freshens. And if it wasn’t already obvious, I kinda love Freshens.

When we finally arrived, I couldn’t wait, so I just ran ahead. My parents and their friends were waiting in line for Taco Bell, but I decided to just go right for dessert. I mean, you only live once, right? The line was incredibly long, but that didn’t stop me from getting the sweet, crispy, mouth-watering crepe I came for.

At last, it was my turn and I swear my heart was beating really fast.

“Can I have a cheesecake crepe with whipped cream, please?”

“Yeah sure,” he answered.

Just as he finished making the fresh crepe, he handed it to me and left me amazed. I quickly found a seat and took my crepe out of the box.

The whipped cream was dripping on the side of the table, strawberry pieces made the Nutella richer than it already is, delightful flavors bursting in my mouth.”
