Splash of Flavor 2014: Pad Thai at Amarin

Amarin is a very nice Thai restaurant on Centre Street near Bertucci’s in Newton Corner. It has a really good ambiance, with characteristic furniture and Asian sculptures in the middle.

Despite all of these aesthetic features, the one thing that makes a person want to go there over and over again is the Pad Thai.

(Hey, you can place your vote here!)

The Pad Thai is a dish with rice noodles, scrambled eggs, shrimps, peanuts, and bean sprouts. It has a very nice taste, and the ingredients really fit with each other. (I personally prefer it without the ground peanuts. I think that their dryness breaks the flavor of the sauce and the smoothness of the noodles.)

The salty taste of the shrimp and the eggs contrast with the sweetness of the noodle sauce and combines with the simple crunchiness of the bean sprouts to create a really nice splash of flavor.
