“Grease” takes the stage this weekend
Take a musical trip back in time with Watertown Children’s Theatre
Greased- back hair, sweet rides, adventures in Greased Lightning. At Watertown Children’s Theatre, the production of “Grease” (the school edition) is comin’ our way.
“Grease” involves a lot of singing, dancing, acting, and a whole lot of flirtin’. Actors have worked hard to pull together a musical from the 1970s about the 1950’s. The accents, specific movements, extra details, and much more!
The show takes place at Rydell High School. Two groups of people, the popular Pink Ladies, and the laid-back Burger Palace Boys. And you can’t forgot poor old Sandra-Dee, the newcomer at Rydell High. Danny, (the leader of the Burger Palace Boys) is crushing on Sandy, and she’s crushing right back.
But there is just one problem… Rizzo, the leader of the Pink Ladies.
See how the craziness at Rydell resolves by coming to the show at WCT on Friday, June 20 (7 p.m.), Saturday, June 21 (2 p.m. and 7 p.m.), and Sunday, June 22 (2 p.m.).
Tickets can be bought at the door or online. For more information on the show, visit the WCT website at: http://www.watertownchildrenstheatre.org/.
