“The Little Mermaid” to debut at WMS this week

Public will get two chances to see students perform in musical: Thursday, Dec. 5., and Friday, Dec. 6

‘’The Little Mermaid’’ will be performed in the Watertown Middle School on Thursday, Dec. 5., and Friday, Dec. 6, at 7 p.m. Tickets are $5 per person.

Drama teacher Abby Casey has put a lot of hard work into making the musical happen. She gives instructions, fixes dress and outfits, handles students who struggle sometimes when they don’t understand, and taking all this time possible to make this play the best.

WMS students have been working on the play for three months, staying after school sometimes until 4 p.m., while trying to budget their time with homework, activities, and rehearsal.

For some WMS students, this will be their first chance to show their face to the public while performing on stage, and a lot of the people involved with “The Little Mermaid’’ are excited.
