Splash of Flavor 2015: Red Velvet Cupcake at Cupcake City
April 3, 2015
The moment you walk into Cupcake City, you feel the great atmosphere and smell the delicious cupcakes, which are behind the counter and all ready to be eaten. The friendly staff will greet you and be patient while you pick your cupcake — as complicated as a Salted Caramel or as simple as a traditional Vanilla cupcake.
My pick is definitely Red Velvet, probably one of its best cupcakes and one that will leave a desire to eat many more.
(Hey, you can place your vote here!)
The cupcake even looks delicious — a bright, vibrant red with a perfect swirl of frosting, topped with small sparkly red sprinkles. The cake is sweet, moist, and almost tastes like a vanilla cupcake with a hint of chocolate.
The cream-cheese frosting is rich and creamy and delicious. It goes perfectly when eaten with the cake, much better than a plain old frosting.
This Red Velvet cupcake makes you savor every bite, a big step up from your everyday, run-of-the-mill grocery store cupcakes. The price — even better than the cupcake itself — is only $2.75 for one of the best cupcakes you’ll ever have.
So, if you’re craving a cupcake, head to Cupcake City and pick up one of its delicious Red Velvet cupcakes.
