Hard work paying off for WMS football team

Even though the Watertown Middle School football team went 4-2, the players have worked very hard. The teams that they played this season had many more people, with more subs, so it was challenging.

Coach Eric Lochiatto said, “It’s my first year coaching and it’s good to get to know the different kids that are on the team. I get to work with them in school and out on the football field.”

The players tried hard, whether it was in a practice or a game.

Nick Giordano, who wore No. 14, said, “Practices are serious and hard working, we do lots of running.”

Other players said something similar. Justin Kibuuka, No. 30, said, “Practices are hard, but you get something out of them.”

The players said they really enjoyed when they had a cheering section at their games. It encouraged them and made them feel like a better team.

The boys did a great job this season. Keep up the good work next year!
